Hidden Forest Cabin

Hidden Forest Cabin is a unique home designed with a sloping green roof and natural wood exterior siding to blend it into the forest. This 2,000 square foot 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house has a beautiful skylight that extends from the roof down to the sides of the house where natural daylight can fill all the interior spaces. The green roof provides plenty of insulation with its low maintenance vegetation and the wood siding blends the home in with the trees beyond.

To get to the cabin, there’s a roadway that leads to the parking garage and driveway in front of the home. As soon as we enter, there’s an open staircase leading to the bedrooms and bathroom on the second floor. To the left, there’s a living room with a large sectional couch facing towards an entertainment center against the wall.

Next to the living room, there’s a large kitchen with seating for 5 people at the center island. This is where everyone can gather to prepare, cook, and eat together. There’s lots of storage space in the base and upper cabinets as well as the large refrigerator.

On the ground floor, there’s also two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a corner lounge area next to one of the windows the turns into a skylight at the roof. When we head upstairs, there’s a walkway overlooking the common areas downstairs, the pendant lights hanging from the beautiful wood structure and finishes on the underside of the roof, and the skylights that illuminates the house with natural lighting. There’s also a light fixture wall art on the tall wall at the center of the house.

The second floor has two bedrooms with operable skylights that share a bathroom at the center. The bathrooms have a rainshower with shower wand, bathtub, toilet, and floating vanity. It’s a fully tiled space with a calming dark grey finish that comes to life with the shadows cast against it from the light entering through the frosted glass window.
