Home inside a Pyramid Greenhouse is designed as a homestead property that can grow produce for the family year-round in a northern region. This 2200 square foot 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is located in a rural place where it’s surrounded by nature and accessed by a private driveway. It has a main residence with an L-shaped floor plan, wood exterior siding, and an accessible flat roof that’s accessed by stairs near the entrance to the home. The residence is covered by a tall greenhouse with a pyramid hip roof that creates a controlled environment where the owners can grow plants, flowers, and trees all year.

During the colder winter months, the interior of the greenhouse is heated by both the natural sunlight that passes through the laminated glass roof and siding as well as the geothermal heating system that can provide additional heat during the coldest days and nights. There are also fire places throughout the home that adds warmth to the greenhouse through the mass of the brick chimneys.

Throughout the home, there are areas where the family can come together to watch a movie in the living room or to hang out and catch up in the lounge. There’s a private office for the owners of the house to work from home which is next to the bedroom suite located at one end of the home. At the opposite side, there are two bedrooms that share a bathroom.

The best part about this greenhouse home is that the controlled environment lets the family open all the exterior doors and windows within the greenhouse during the winter to let in the warm air. That also means that the kitchen can be completely open to the patio and planting areas within the greenhouse, which makes it easy to pick fresh produce from the gardens and to eat at the dining area that’s located at the patio. You can enjoy a fresh meal during the winter surrounded by plants and trees while staring out at the snow falling onto the greenhouse and ground outside.
